Everyone here at Fanbrandz cherishes the relationship our studio has with the Berra family, and it was our honor to attend the special event held at Yogi's museum this month.
Fanbrandz Principal and Creative Director Bill Frederick's relationship with the Berras goes back to 1997 working with the museum's developers as they were just breaking ground to build on the campus of Montclair State University. On top of developing the museum's primary logo and a host of printed materials including brochures that covered such topics as Women in Sports, Baseball Literature and Baseball & Social Justice, Bill developed identities for the Yogi Berra Celebrity Golf Classic, held annually at Yogi's home course, Montclair Country Club, and has designed many years of World Series replica tickets for an annual museum event that allows fans to watch Game 3 of the World Series with Yogi.
To be in a room with baseball managerial legends Tony LaRussa, Jim Leyland, Don Mattingly, Buck Showalter, Joe Girardi and the man himself Yogi Berra all at the same time, and to have the special opportunity to listen to some of their stories and inspirations was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. We would like to extend a special thanks to Joni from Events by Joni for doing such a wonderful job hosting the event, and to the Berras for once again proving to truly be baseball's first family.
