We're proud to announce that the Fanbrandz team took home two trophies last night at the 51st Annual Art Director's Club of New Jersey Awards dinner!
In the category of Corporate and Promotional Design, gold was awarded to the 2014 NHL Heritage Classic program, and silver awarded to the 2014 MLB All-Star Game program.
Both of these projects were team efforts and could not not have been accomplished without the critical work and input of colleagues Skye Dillion and NHL's Paul Conway for the Heritage Classic, and Todd Radom and MLB's Anne Occi for the All-Star Game. Congratulations!

We took a look to see how many Twitter followers each club earned during the 2014 MLB Postseason and it turns out, even though the Royals couldn't top the Giants in last night's Game 7, they toppled every other team in gaining new Twitter followers over the last month, nearly doubling what the Giants gained! This is a real testament to the support the Royals received during this Postseason, so to us, they're also World Series Champs.
These Twitter Standings are relevant as of Noon, October 30, 2014.
Fanbrandz is pleased to share our latest collaboration with the National Hockey League and Creative Director, Paul Conway as NHL unveils the 2015 Bridgestone Winter Classic in Washington D.C.
Hosted in our nation's capital, and celebrating hockey's roots, we had a unique opportunity to tap into the iconic branding techniques of past Presidential elections.
Our research and development uncovered classic print-based branding using stars and vertical bars as far back as 1908. Herbert Hoover's 1928 campaign firmly established a look that lasted decades. The signature look was expanded in FDR's campaigns, and eventually with John Kennedy and beyond. Below is a small collection of our branding and development process.
We look forward to watching the 2015 NHL Bridgestone Winter Classic in Washington D.C. on New Year's day! Special thanks to Paul Conway for his great creative direction on this project.
In an article entitled 'Winning Looks' our principal, Bill Frederick is spotlighted as a local small business owner both living and working in Montclair. Our studio history with MLB and NHL is outlined in the piece. It's out now in the Back to School 2014 edition.
Last summer we filmed our second installment of our '30 Fans' project, titled '30 Fans from 30 Cities. We reached out to the visiting baseball fans and asked them share their stories of fan passion for the game. The results were highly entertaining.
This year we'll be at it again, asking fans to share their team's rally chant. This year we'll be capturing the excitement through those 6 second looping Vine videos. You can watch our progress live this year on our dedicated vine page: '30 Fans 30 Chants' Until then enjoy last year's 30 Fans film.
