For the 2017-18 season, the Oilers unveiled new sweaters that utilize a shift to brighter orange and deeper navy. We developed a refined version of their traditional arm and waist stripes and solid yoke that harkens back to the the original World Hockey Assocation uniforms.
We worked with the Edmonton Oilers Entertainment Group and OEG executives Stew MacDonald and Jeff Harrop on development of a new set of jerseys for the 2017/2018 hockey season.
The development was thorough and process-oriented and explored a wide range of approaches. In the end, a refined version of their traditional style featuring arm and waist stripes and solid yoke was the winner.
The new ADIZERO sweater utilizes a brighter orange and deeper blue that harkens back to their original WHA uniforms. The uniforms were unveiled in Las Vegas on June 20.
